1+1=3: An Intentional Prayer Gathering at Kalina Art Studio

1+1=3 is a unique gathering at Kalina Art Studio where we explore the profound spiritual truth: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20). This meeting is created for anyone seeking a deeper connection through intentional prayer, whether you have a long-standing faith tradition or are simply curious to explore spiritual practice.

What is 1+1=3?

This monthly gathering is more than just a prayer meeting; it’s a sacred space held to foster connection, reflection, and spiritual growth. We believe that when we intentionally come together, a powerful third presence emerges, enriching our individual and collective spiritual journeys.

Our Practice:

Each session will guide you through a mindful and intentional prayer practice, drawing inspiration from the timeless structure of the Lord’s Prayer. We’ll provide a framework for reflection and personal expression, allowing you to engage at your own pace and comfort level.

Your Book of Prayers:

Please bring a simple composition book to transform into your personal “Book of Prayers.” This journal will become a cherished companion, allowing you to record insights, prayers, and reflections during our gatherings and throughout your month. It’s a tangible way to track your spiritual journey.

Community & Connection:

After our prayer practice, there will be a voluntary opportunity for sharing, allowing participants to speak about what has resonated with them. We’ll conclude each gathering with a “circle of glory,” a powerful moment to release our burdens and open ourselves to divine care and peace. This is a judgment-free zone where all experiences are honored.

Who is Invited?

Everyone! Our doors are open to both the churched and unchurched, to all spiritual seekers, and to anyone looking for a peaceful and supportive community to engage in intentional spiritual practice.

Event Details:

  • First Gathering: Thursday, October 30th | 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Frequency: Recurring every last Thursday of the month (beginning in November).
  • Location: Kalina Art Studio – 122 N. Washington St., Papillion, NE 68046
  • What to bring: a journal ( a regular composition book will work just fine) and a utensil of your choice to write with.
  • Suggested Contribution: A small cash donation is gratefully accepted to help us cover the studio expenses and continue offering this sacred space. Your presence, however, is the most valued contribution.

The gathering is limited to 12 people. Please register so we know to expect you.

November meeting will take place a week early due to Thanksgiving on the 27th.

December meeting will take place a week early due to Christmas.
